Muse Token Calculator
Muse measures AI usage in tokens against a weekly allowance. Enter how many tasks of each type you run per week and this calculator estimates your total token consumption, what share of the reported free weekly allowance that is, and how far the 1-billion-token invite bonus would stretch for you. All figures are rough planning estimates — actual usage varies by task, and the usage screen in your Muse app is authoritative.
Your weekly usage
Per-task token figures are editable rough estimates — adjust them to match what you observe in your app.
| Task type | Per week | Tokens per task (est.) |
|---|---|---|
| Simple Q&A chat | ||
| Writing / drafting session | ||
| Research task (multi-step, browsing) | ||
| Scheduled automation run (e.g. digest) | ||
| Email / calendar triage session |
About these numbers
- Weekly allowance (~100M tokens): the free tier figure widely reported since launch. Shown in your app's Settings → Usage screen — that screen is authoritative.
- Invite bonus (1B tokens): the reported referral reward for redeeming an invite code within 48 hours of joining — see the invite code guide.
- Per-task estimates above are illustrative starting points, not measured benchmarks. A short chat uses far fewer tokens than an agentic research task that browses dozens of pages.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Muse token?
A token is the unit Muse uses to measure AI usage — roughly, the text processed plus the computation behind your tasks. Simple chats consume thousands of tokens; long agentic research tasks can consume hundreds of thousands.
How many free tokens do I get per week?
Press reporting puts the free tier at around 100 million tokens per week, renewing weekly. Confirm your exact allowance on the usage screen inside your Muse app.
What happens if I run out of tokens?
Reported behavior: the weekly allowance renews each week, and referral bonus tokens act as a reserve used after the weekly quota. Check the app for current policy and paid options if you consistently exceed the free tier.
Are these estimates accurate?
They are planning estimates, not measurements. Real consumption depends on task length, tools used, and model behavior. Use this calculator to get a feel for the scale, and rely on the app's usage screen for real numbers.
How do I get the 1 billion token bonus?
Redeem an invite code in Settings within 48 hours of creating your Muse account. Our Muse invite code guide walks through it step by step.
Is Everyday Toolbox affiliated with Meta?
No. Everyday Toolbox is an independent site, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta. Token figures here come from press reporting as of October 1, 2026 — the Muse app shows the authoritative numbers for your account.
